Moving Tips

Quote – 

 We will happily give you advice on what pricing format would best suit your moving needs.  

The quickest way to do this is over the telephone or via WhatsApp. 

Another option would be for a friendly member of staff to pop around, free of charge (if in the Folkestone/Hythe area), to give you the more accurate quote for larger moves. 

(Please note, quotes are only valid for 4 weeks and are subject to change unless a deposit had been paid to hold a date)

Booking the date - 

Once you have confirmation of the date you require our services, you can pay a deposit to secure that date, the date will not be guaranteed until the deposit is paid.

Day before -  

You will receive a call to run through the plan of action for the following day, moving is stressful and we are happy to help.

Secure a parking spot for the van if required.

Day of your move -  Clients Responsibilities.

Finish off the last of the packing, make sure a parking space is free close to the property. 

Empty the fridge into cold bags, freezers can normally stay full, however, in some cases, this may be too heavy, then we will ask for it to be emptied.

Additional information -

TVs will be checked to be seen in working order before we load them into our vehicles. 

TVs over 52” and curved TVs will only be added to our vehicles if the original box can be provided.  

If TV is larger or curved, please make us aware before the day of the move so we can advise.

Please ensure all sharp objects are covered at the points to save perforating the boxes and causing injury. (i.e Towels over the points of knives)  

Please Label these boxes clearly stating sharp or Fragile contents inside, so we can stack the van correctly to reduce damages. 

If anyone other than our staff puts something on the back of the van, and isn’t tied correctly and gets damages or broken, we will not take liability, however, carrying goods to the back of the van to give to staff is fine. No clients are to enter the vehicle without staff being present.

Washing machine instillation is at the discretion of the staff as we are not plumbers. 

Please keep all walkways clear for health and safety reasons. If damages occur due to unsafe work conditions, this will be the responsibility of the client.
